A couple from New South Wales, Australia, were very emotional after finding out they had won $20 Million Oz Lotto jackpot on Tuesday 2nd August 2022.

The lucky couple from Goulburn held the only ticket that matched all the numbers for the Oz Lotto draw- 22, 23, 27, 33, 38, 39 and 42. They purchased their entry at the First Inland City Newsagency, Shop B, 140-144 Aubern Street.

Additionally, the multimillionaire couple are Southern Tablelands residents and held the only Division One winning entrance ticket. However, the couple are staying publicly anonymous.

They were overcome by emotion when the win was confirmed by lottery operator (The Lott). The couple said they’ve not had the easiest life, so are looking forward to chilling out and will most likely will give up work immediately. Further, the couple described themselves as ‘Aussie battlers’.

“I’m in tears mate! Every time I think I’m okay, the waterworks kick off again,” said the man.

The couple don’t think they’ll make it back to work

“I don’t even know what to do with myself. Retirement is beckoning.”

Reliving the moment they found out about the win, the husband said: “I dropped into the store this morning to check my ticket and the team member gave me a shocked look.

“He said, ‘you might need to sit down, mate’.

He said he couldn’t wait to share it with my family. Overall, their aim is to set everyone up and make sure they don’t have to worry about a thing.

Jeanine Chatfield, the owner of the First Inland City Newsagency, offered her congratulations to the winners and said it was a great moment for the local store.

“I’m pretty sure everyone in town will be talking about it today. It will cause big excitement in the community,” she said.

“It’s pretty cool. We’ve very excited and very happy.”

She continued be saying, “We’ve had a bit of a winning year. We’ve already sold two first prize-winning tickets in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot, and now this!

“It’s great for Goulburn. It’s a big thrill for everyone.”

Oz Lotto made changes last May, with the number range changing from 45 to 47. Firstly, the minimum jackpot increased from $2 million to $3 million. Further, every draw now selects a third supplementary number.

Ten Melburnians can look forward to receiving a winning boost to their bank accounts after their syndicate scored a division 1 prize of $1M in the Monday Lotto draw 2 weeks ago. The syndicate entry was the only division 1 winning entry across the whole of Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4106, drawn Monday 23 August 2021. The entry won a division 1 prize of $1M. Each syndicate member receives a share worth over $102k. Shares into the central syndicate were purchased at 10 Tatts outlets across Melbourne – from Flemington to Endeavour Hills. As some of the syndicate shares were unregistered, some of the winners may have yet to discover their winning news!!

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4106 on 23 August 2021 were 44, 12, 10, 26, 35 and 25, while the supplementary numbers were 28 and 38. Across Australia, the winning 1 division must have woke up very excited with their 1 winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4106 – 1 being from Victoria.

We can imagine there are going to be 10 very happy Victorians once they discover they’ve shared a division one win. Previous syndicate members have said that they’ve used their share of a major prize to pay off mortgages, buy new cars or to go and plan future travel expeditions.

Another lucky winner in recent months – Was a Victorian man believing that he “manifested” his $834k TattsLotto division 1 win. The lucky winner, who comes from Braybrook in Victoria, cited his ritual of imagining a happy, healthy & wealthy lifestyle in his old family home when purchasing his Lotto tickets to his luck taking home the $834,643.56 winning ticket.

“I’ve been playing for decades, but I have never won division 1 . So I actually just developed a new system for buying my tickets, and it seems like it’s come through for me!” the amazingly happy winner who told lottery officials. “When I was young, I grew up in a beautiful family home in Preston. So every now and again, I drive back to that home –  “I stare at the house and dream about living in it again, and then I go to a shop in the area, and I buy my TattsLotto ticket,” he said.

What amazing for these lucky players!

I can’t believe this.’ When asked how she would spend her winnings, the woman said it would speed up her retirement plans. Two Queenslanders have won the major Oz Lotto jackpot, amounting to $80 million.

An Ipswich Mum and a Sunshine Coast man each pocketed half of last night’s mega Oz Lotto jackpot, amounting to $80 million.

The winning numbers were 42, 35, 29, 19, 36, 14, 25 with the supplement numbers 13 and 1.

Bronwyn Spencer from The Lott was one of the lucky workers who got to phone them and break the news. He said: “It was an exciting night last night when we got to break the news to two Queensland winners that they’re now $40 million richer,” she told 9News.

“From time to time we do see some wins in the same sort of cluster.”

The mother purchased her ticket online, while the businessman bought his at Newsxpress in Robina on the Gold Coast while he was in town for work.

The newsagent owners, Karen and Graham Randall feel as though they’ve won as well. They commented: “Far out, we are still on Cloud Nine, I just can’t believe it, I hope that man’s celebrating and I hope he hasn’t had any sleep and it’s unbelievable.
“It could have been sold from last Wednesday onwards till yesterday so we even stayed open a little bit later last night just to make sure everybody wasn’t missing out.”

Completely overwhelmed but extremely grateful…

When The Lott broke the news to the winner on the phone, he couldn’t believe it his ears. The winner was completely overwhelmed by the win but extremely grateful. He is planning to buy a new home and car. He also realized his long-held passion for attending the Italian Grand Prix.

Or hysterical laughter…

The Ipswich mother, however, burst into laughter when she heard the news. She supposedly couldn’t stop laughing with glee. Her children were just as excited as her, shouting in the background of the interview. The mum told officials she too will head overseas on holidays, planning to take her family to Canada.
The two wins being in the same jackpot and in the same state is rare. Only one in five million people have the chance of winning.

Next Tuesday’s Oz Lotto jackpot will sum to $70 million after the top prize went unclaimed for the seventh week in a row.

The winning numbers for Tuesday’s $50 million Oz Lotto draw were 34, 30, 2, 7, 37, 43 and 26. Supplementary numbers were 8 and 5. Fourteen winners in Division 2 will each get $33,152. But the top prize has now gone unclaimed for seven straight weeks.

There are also still 10 division one winners from previous draws who are still yet to claim their prizes. One of those will be handed to the Victorian State Revenue Office if the winner doesn’t come forward.

The winners are across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria worth $9,266,702.24 in total. One of those from Queensland is worth more than $6.38 million, another is more than $1.85 richer in NSW and a Victorian has a $1 million prize yet to be claimed.

Can the Lott locate players?

Since these winning tickets were not registered to a player’s card, the Lott has no way of identifying or contacting the mystery winners and uniting them with their prize.

“While everyone has their eye on the $50 million Oz Lotto prize tomorrow night, it’s a great reminder that we have 10 winners out there who have already won but haven’t collected their division one windfall yet,” The Lott spokeswoman Lauren Cooney said.

“Could you have any old tickets lying around at home waiting to be unearthed?

“We’ve had past winners come forward after finding an old ticket in the back of a drawer, in the central console of their car and at the bottom of their handbag.

“Some players have also told us they keep tickets in their underwear drawer for safe keeping.

“With more than $9.2 million waiting to be united with the rightful winners, it’s worth checking any old lottery tickets you might come across! You can check your tickets at any licensed lottery outlet, online at thelott.com or via the Lott app.”

Previous Australian winners this year…

Earlier this year, a Sydney woman scooped up an extraordinary $107.57 million in a record Powerball draw.

Although the Powerball prize had been set at $100 million, it blew out an extra $7 million by the large numbers of investors who bought tickets in a bid to take out the top prize.

The Lott contacted the woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, directly after the draw to inform her of her life-changing win.

“I don’t understand — is this actually real?” she said. “I don’t believe it. I don’t believe it. Is this a trick?”

The registered player also misheard the eye-watering figure, thinking she had walked away with just $107,000.

“Wait — are you telling me I’ve won $107 million? Oh my god. That is just so much money,” she told Australia’s official lottery provider over the phone.

The woman, a healthcare provider, revealed she wouldn’t be quitting her job. She plans to share her winnings with her family. Furthermore, she wants to give “a whole slab of money” to her favourite charity. She may even “buy a caravan and travel around”.

“I’m so passionate about my job. It will drive me to do more health work for causes important to me,” she told The Lott. “I’m not quite sure what to do, but of course I will be helping my family.”

The $50 million Oz Lotto draw, draw 1321, closes at 7.30pm AEST on Tuesday.

An Australian man has won more than $30 million in his country’s lottery – by accident! After buying two tickets instead of one, his winners doubled!

The anonymous winner had been playing the same lottery numbers in The Lotto for over 30 years. This week he accidentally bought two of the same ticket for Tuesday’s drawing, thinking he was buying a ticket for another week’s game.

The numbers exactly matched those of the division one Jackpot, doubling his $23.3 million ($US16.5 million) prize to $46 million ($US 33 million).

An Australian man has accidentally bought two of the three winning lottery tickets in the $70m (£37.6m) Oz Lotto Jackpot.

According to The Lotto’s official statement, the Melbourne man had noticed he had won online but was only remembering one ticket. It wasn’t until a member of their team called and told him he had won on both.

“You’re kidding,” he told the official, “Am I seeing things?”

The blue-collar worker from Melbourne, whose name has not been disclosed, had been playing those numbers for 30 years, according to an Oz Lotto statement.

The man, from St Albans in Melbourne, had forgotten he had two entries in Tuesday’s $70m (US$50m) draw, each marked with the same numbers.

The new multi-millionaire had just gotten off work when he found out the life-changing news. He told the official “I might think about retiring.”

He was asked how he was going to spend his big winnings!

“First on a new home or holiday,” then “I’ll definitely share it with my family.”

“I have always marked my entries but I have never chosen anything in particular. They weren’t special before, but they are now.”

Even The Lotto company was thrilled by the news.

A Victorian family wins the largest Oz Lotto jackpot in five years. The six-member private family syndicate is now $35 million richer after coming forward to claim their win.

A family in country Victoria has won $35 million after winning the 7th August Oz Lotto jackpot. One member plans to purchase an unusual item with their new windfall.

The six-member private family syndicate from northeastern Victoria held one of the two division one winning entries in the $70 million draw — the biggest in five years.

The win will ultimately go towards six different families.

They came forward this morning during a hunt for the mystery winner, with the winning woman contacting officials after hearing they were trying to contact a Victorian online division one winner.

The winner said, “There’s six of us in the syndicate and everyone will be excited to know it’s all official,

“It actually ends up benefiting six families.

She continues, “We’ve had a group chat going all morning about how we are each going to spend our share of the win.

Furthermore, some winners are buying unusual items with their winnings.

“I know one family member is going to buy a new washing machine and another is going to get a water tank.”

Oz Lotto First Class Travel

New travels plans were mentioned by winners, who want to visit family.

“We are planning a holiday to Europe to visit family and there is talk of celebrating a milestone birthday next year on a cruise,” she said.

“We had already been planning it but our plans have certainly been upgraded now! First class all the way!”

Record-Breaking Week For Australian Lottery

The wins kickstarted the record-breaking week of Australian lottery jackpots with now $80 million up for grabs.

“There is still a chance for Australians to become overnight multi-millionaires this week. This Thursday’s Powerball is also offering a massive $80 million division one prize,” Mr Hart said.

Last financial year, 18 Oz Lotto division one winning entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions won more than $237 million.

Someone has won $30 million in last night’s Lotto and probably doesn’t even know it. The lucky ticket holder was the only division one entry for last night’s Oz Lotto draw 1229. It is an unregistered entry bought on Queensland’s Fraser Coast in the last five days. The winner will join the region’s list of new millionaires. A retired Hervey Bay woman won $1.6 million in the Saturday Gold Lotto $20 Million Superdraw.

Fraser Coast region also holds the record for having sold Australia’s single biggest individual lottery win. In January 2016, Hervey Bay grandparents won the $70 million division one Powerball jackpot prize.

Golden Casket spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eagerly waiting for the newest multi-millionaire to make contact so the prize claim process can begin. “It’s hard to believe, but someone out there woke up this morning a multi-millionaire — but they may not know it yet!” he said.

The winning numbers were 16, 45, 4, 35, 8, 28 and 27, with the supplementary numbers were 22 and 34.

About the Oz Lotto

Introduced on 26 February 1994 by Tatts Group, Oz Lotto is a national lottery game. It is administered by ‘the Lotto’ in all-Australian States except for Western Australia, where the lottery is administered by Lotterywest. It holds the record for the largest Australian lotto jackpot prize. Four lucky winners shared the jackpot prize of AU$111,972,151.04 in the draw on 6 November 2012.

The draw takes place once a week every Tuesday. The time of the draw 20:00hrs AEST.  AUD $2 Million is the minimum Jackpot.

To win the jackpot, you must match seven main numbers. During the draw, two supplementary numbers are drawn in addition to the seven main numbers. These supplementary numbers are significant for Prize Category 2, 4 and 7 only. The Oz Lotto is new on Welovelotto, but has already become one of our members favourite Lottery games.
